When inserting the receiving hole, the locating pin is used to connect and accurately align the parts of the assembly.
Locating pins can also be used as locating pins. These pins are common in the automotive and aerospace industries and in the manufacture of furniture.

There is little friction when inserting the applied envelope. Loose fittings that can be assembled manually and removed if necessary. Slight oscillation may occur between connecting parts. Components should be able to rotate and move freely in the application.
