Tapered rollers are used as rolling elements in tapered roller bearings. These bearings are selected when they must provide bearing capacity in radial and axial directions.
Use the cold heading process to punch the tapered rollers (considering their rough overall shape). Several subsequent operations, including special grinding, produce parts with precise tolerances. Because of its wide availability and high mechanical properties (tensile strength, hardness, wear resistance), bearing grade chromium steel is usually selected as the material. Hartford Technologies provides tapered rollers (diameter, length, angle) with customized dimensions.
