outline
AISI 440C stainless steel ball provides maximum hardness, toughness and dimensional stability. They are very resistant to rolling contact fatigue. 440C stainless steel ball is used under hardened conditions, and its performance is similar to that of tool steel. It is an ideal choice for antifriction bearings (rolling bearings).
features
440C stainless steel ball reaches the highest hardness after heat treatment: Rockwell C 58 to 62. Hartford 440C stainless steel ball is passivated to remove free iron pollutants and promote the spontaneous formation of protective passivation film.
Corrosion resistance
440C stainless steel ball usually has excellent resistance to weak acid, alkali, food, fresh water and air.
hardness
Rockwell C 58-62 is measured on a parallel plane.
size
Sizes of grades 10 to 1000 range from 1 mm to 50.8 mm.
